Note to New Readers

I recently read on a forum devoted to personal websites that one problem with them is that visitors tend only to read the latest updates, even new visitors. Therefore, it is a good idea to summarize for people what is already on a website.

This website is intended for people who enjoy reading and do not view it as a chore. The website is intended to be informational and not one that emphasizes visual content. I am not a web designer and the format is not very sleek, let alone dazzling to behold. It is a website intended for one’s mind and not one’s eye or sensory pleasure. The only graphics are a few photographs provided by X-Builder, whose software the site is built upon. If a glamorous website design is what you are primarily looking for, then, unfortunately, this website is not for you.

The site is devoted to the topics (in order of importance) of: school bullying; Tourette’s Syndrome; and literature, as well as a hodgepodge of unrelated (to these topics) musings under the “Miscellaneous” heading. Additionally, I have a links section which includes links to external websites covering all of these topics.

My school bullying section per se consists of just one article. However, I elaborate upon my views on this subject by way of introducing links to other websites regarding the topic of school bullying. I would particularly suggest my links to “You’re Not Alone” and Izzy Kalman’s “Bullies to Buddies” website for a further examination of my views.

The major difference of opinion I have regarding the subject of school bullying with many other anti-bullying advocates is that I have a more restrictive view of what constitutes bullying than do they. Of course, everyone interested in the subject of school bullying should visit the Ryan Halligan website, to which I also link. Few other school bullying websites could ever hope to match the level of emotional and educational impact of this splendid but tragic presentation by the parents of a deceased bullying victim.
